Town Head Estate gives you a beautifully restored barn, gardens, parkland and the shore of Lake Windermere all in one private estate. It feels special without your wedding needing to feel staged.
My approach is much the same. I'll give you some direction when it helps, blend into the background when it doesn't, and photograph the people, reactions and properly brilliant moments happening around you.
You get photographs that make the most of Town Head's lakeside setting while still having time to enjoy the wedding with everyone you invited.
The venue
Wedding photography at Town Head Estate
Town Head Estate sits on the south-eastern shore of Lake Windermere near Newby Bridge. The restored Wedding Barn, landscaped gardens, Victorian glasshouse, parkland and private lake frontage give the day variety without needing to leave the estate.
For photographs, that means we can move from lively documentary coverage in the barn to a short walk through the gardens or down to the water. I don't arrive with a rigid shot list or disappear with you for hours. We pick the right place for the light, keep it easy and get you back to your guests.

My approach
Relaxed, natural Town Head Estate wedding photography
Most of the day, I photograph what is genuinely happening: the nervous energy before the ceremony, your guests catching up, the laughter during speeches and the increasingly ambitious moves on the dance floor.
I'll step in with a bit of direction when it helps and make family groups straightforward, but I won't turn your wedding into a production. The aim is a set of photographs that feels like your day — the big parts, the ridiculous parts and the little moments you didn't see.
If the light over Windermere looks great, we can head out for ten minutes. If everyone is having too much fun inside, we photograph that instead.
