Fatima and Michael’s wedding at Combermere Abbey in Cheshire was one of those days that was just brilliant from start to finish. A beautiful venue, a great group of people and plenty of laughs throughout the day made it a wedding I really enjoyed photographing.
Wedding Photography at Combermere Abbey
Combermere Abbey is a fantastic setting for wedding photography. The historic abbey, gardens and surrounding estate give you plenty of variety, while the venue itself has a relaxed feel that works really well for natural, documentary-style wedding photography.
For Fatima and Michael, the day was all about spending time with family and friends and enjoying the wedding rather than worrying about having every moment perfectly staged. That suited the way I photograph weddings perfectly.
I’m not really interested in turning a wedding into a photoshoot. Of course, we’ll get some photographs of the two of you, along with the family photographs and all the important parts of the day, but most of the photographs are about what actually happens – the laughs, reactions, conversations and all the little moments you might not notice at the time.
Combermere Abbey also gives us plenty of options when it comes to photographs of the two of you. The grounds and architecture provide some brilliant backdrops without needing to spend hours away from your guests.

Fatima and Michael’s wedding had exactly the sort of atmosphere I love photographing. There was plenty of laughter, a few emotional moments and lots going on throughout the day, giving me plenty of opportunities to capture the story naturally.
