Browsholme Hall & Tithe Barn brings together a characterful stone barn, historic estate, courtyard, woodland and lake in the Forest of Bowland.
My approach fits around the wedding rather than taking it over. I’ll give you some direction when it helps, blend in when it doesn’t and photograph the people, reactions and ridiculous moments happening around you.
You get properly good photographs while still having time to enjoy the day with everyone you invited.

A historic Lancashire estate with a seriously good party barn
The restored Tithe Barn is the focus for most weddings, with the house, courtyard, gardens, woodland and lake adding plenty of variety without sending you miles away from your guests.

Exposed stone, oak beams and flagstone floors for ceremonies, dinner, speeches and the evening party.

Every photograph below is from Pip and James’s wedding. Nothing staged into submission—just their people, their atmosphere and a quick trip onto the lake.
No hours of posing. No disappearing from your guests. Just enough direction to make you feel comfortable and plenty of space for the day to happen.
Relaxed when it should be. Helpful when you need it.
Most of a wedding doesn’t need directing. The nerves, hugs, reactions, speech laughter and dance-floor chaos are better when they happen naturally.
We’ll still make time for family photographs and some great portraits of the two of you. I keep them straightforward and won’t turn your drinks reception into a two-hour photoshoot.
At Pip and James’s wedding we headed down to the lake, they jumped into the rowing boat and I used the drone for something different. Then it was straight back to the party.

What is your photography style?
Relaxed, natural and documentary-led. I photograph the day as it happens and give simple direction when it helps, without making the wedding feel staged.
What happens if it rains?
The Tithe Barn gives us a characterful indoor setting throughout the day. If the weather eases, we can use the courtyard or estate briefly without keeping you away from your guests.
Do you take family photographs?
Of course. We’ll plan the groups that matter and work through them efficiently so they don’t take over the drinks reception.
Can we use the lake for photographs?
Subject to the venue’s arrangements and conditions on the day, the lake can make a brilliant setting. Pip and James used the rowing boat while I photographed them from the shore and with the drone.
