Pip & James’ Browsholme Hall wedding was one of those days where there was always something going on. A brilliant group of people, a great setting and a wedding that felt very much like them.
I always enjoy photographing at Browsholme Hall & Tithe Barn. Set within the Forest of Bowland, there’s loads of character around the venue and estate, with plenty of options for photographs without making the whole day feel like a photoshoot.
For most of the day I was just doing my usual thing — wandering around, chatting to people and photographing whatever was happening in front of me. The big moments are obviously important, but it’s often the smaller stuff that ends up being some of my favourite photographs from a wedding.
We did a few group photographs before taking Pip and James down to the lake at Browsholme Hall. They jumped into the rowing boat and I got the drone up for a few photographs from above. It made for something a bit different and gave us some great shots of the two of them out on the lake, surrounded by the Forest of Bowland countryside.
After that, it was back to the wedding and getting on with the important stuff — eating, drinking, catching up with everyone and having a good time.

Browsholme Hall & Tithe Barn is a fantastic Lancashire wedding venue in the Forest of Bowland, and the location gives you some seriously good opportunities for natural wedding photography.
My approach to Browsholme Hall wedding photography is pretty simple — document the day properly, keep the posing to a minimum and make sure you still get some great photographs of the two of you without taking you away from your guests for hours.
