WEDDINGS AT WYRESDALE

A newly married couple walking hand in hand along a cobblestone alley, the bride in a white wedding gown holding a bouquet, the groom in a black tuxedo, smiling at each other with rustic stone and wooden buildings in the background.

If you're getting married at Wyresdale Park and want your wedding photographed without spending the day posing for a camera, you're in the right place.

I'm Richard, a Lancashire wedding photographer specialising in relaxed, natural and documentary-style wedding photography. I've photographed weddings at Wyresdale Park and know the venue and its surroundings well.

Wedding photography at Wyresdale Park

Wyresdale Park is a brilliant place for wedding photography. Set near Scorton in Lancashire, on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, there's a great mix of barns, gardens, woodland, open countryside and the lake.

It means there's plenty of variety without needing to disappear for hours to get your photographs.

I'll photograph the day as it happens, from the morning preparations and ceremony through to the speeches, drinks and dancefloor. Along the way, we'll make a little time for some photographs of the two of you, but nothing overly posed or complicated.

CHECK MY AVAILABILITY!

I’d love to hear all about your wedding day, fill in the contact form and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

“When we decided on Richard to be our wedding photographer, it was the best decision we made. He couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, very easy to talk to, answered all our questions and got on with everyone. He made me feel so at ease and captured the day beautifully, better than we could have hoped for. He was very subtle and unobtrusive, but got every shot perfect. I'd 100% recommend him, he was the best”

A relaxed approach

Most people aren't particularly comfortable having their photograph taken. That's completely normal.

You don't need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I'll give you a bit of direction when you need it, but most of the time I'll let you get on with your day.

That means more time with your friends and family and less time standing in front of a camera.

I'm looking for the things that happen naturally — the reactions, laughs, hugs, chaos and all the little moments you might not even notice at the time.

The variety around Wyresdale Park gives us plenty of options throughout the day.

The barns and buildings provide plenty of character, while the gardens, lake and wider countryside give us somewhere to head outside for a few photographs.

It works just as well for a summer wedding with everyone outside as it does for a wet Lancashire day when we need to make the most of the venue itself.
