Wyresdale Park is made for relaxed weddings. Its barns, courtyard, ceremony spaces and surrounding Bowland countryside all sit close together, allowing your day to flow naturally.
My approach works in much the same way. I’ll give you some direction when it helps, blend into the background when it doesn’t, and photograph the people, reactions and moments happening around you.

Set near Scorton on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, Wyresdale Park brings your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening celebrations together within one characterful Lancashire country estate.
The Chapel
A characterful indoor ceremony space with stone walls, exposed beams and guests gathered close around you.
Ceremony Garden
An outdoor ceremony option surrounded by greenery and views towards the Forest of Bowland.
The White Barn
A bright setting for your wedding breakfast, speeches and all the reactions happening between them.

Beams, glass, atmospheric light and a properly good space for your evening party.

Relaxed when it should be. Helpful when you need it.
Most of your wedding doesn’t need directing. The morning nerves, people greeting each other, ceremony reactions, speech laughter and dance-floor chaos are all better when they happen naturally.
We’ll still take the family photographs that matter and make time for some properly good couple portraits. I’ll keep them straightforward and won’t take you away from your guests for ages.
You enjoy the day. I’ll worry about the photographs.

Have you photographed weddings at Wyresdale Park?
Yes. I know the venue and have photographed real weddings across its ceremony spaces, barns, courtyard and surrounding grounds. The photographs on this page are my own work from Wyresdale Park.
What happens if it rains at Wyresdale Park?
Wyresdale Park has plenty of characterful indoor spaces, so poor weather won’t prevent us creating a varied gallery. If the rain eases later, we can head outside briefly without disrupting your day.
Do you take family group photographs?
Of course. We’ll organise the groups you genuinely want and work through them efficiently, giving you the important photographs without losing your entire drinks reception.
We hate posing. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most of my couples tell me the same thing. I’ll give you enough guidance to feel comfortable without making anything feel stiff or awkward.
Do you offer photography and video?
Yes. I work with a small group of trusted videographers whose relaxed approach fits naturally with mine. Ask about the current photography and video options when you enquire.
